M500 KAMBA DESERT STORM
The limited edition M500 KAMBA DESERT STORM was created to commemorate the moment when an international coalition acted quickly and decisively against aggression. During the Gulf War — and especially throughout Operation Desert Storm — courage, responsibility, and a clear determination to act were fully demonstrated. These are the values this edition symbolically represents.
Released in a limited amount of 198 pieces, this model is intended for those who understand that history is shaped by actions, not words.
Thirty-five years ago, Operation Desert Storm brought together a coalition of 28 nations and nearly 950,000 deployed troops, resulting in a swift and decisive conclusion to the conflict within only two months. The liberation of Kuwait on February 28, 1991, became a symbol of how coordination, clear objectives, and determination can stop aggression.
The M500 KAMBA DESERT STORM pays tribute to this historic event, and especially to the courage of 198 Czechoslovak soldiers who were prepared to face all threats, including the risk of chemical weapons. Symbolically, the edition is limited to 198 individually numbered pieces (001/198–198/198). The Coyote desert color scheme reflects the operational environment, and the anniversary marking commemorates 35 years since the liberation of Kuwait.
The dagger blade is made of powder metallurgy Elmax steel, hardened to 60 HRC and finished with a durable DLC coating — for the first time in ANV history in a gold finish. The massive 6 mm blade thickness is retained from the standard model, as is the 3D-machined textured G10 handle, presented here in a sand tone. The guard is machined from a single piece of steel and, together with the handle scales, ensures a controlled grip. The handle butt features a glass-breaking tip.
Included is a self-locking Coyote-colored Kydex sheath with MOLLE compatibility, allowing vertical and horizontal carry. The sheath features laser engraving of a soldier wearing a protective mask, referencing the deployment of the Czechoslovak chemical unit during the Gulf War. An anniversary card commemorating Operation Desert Storm is also included.
As with the standard model, the sharpening angle is optimized for maximum penetration and toughness, not for everyday cutting tasks.
